RPA Announces Expanded Pavilion and Promotional Activities for Reusable Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO Las Vegas

Arlington, VA, January 31, 2011 – The Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) will host a larger and more impactful Reusable Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas Sept. 26 – 28. The RPA has reserved a 5,000 square foot pavilion in a prime location to showcase the products and services of its members.

The RPA Board of Directors voted to expand the Pavilion based on the success of the Reusable Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO in Chicago in 2010. Participating members reported that they had increased traffic and visibility by being a member of the Pavilion.

“The show was a huge success for our industry and individual exhibiting members. We are looking forward to hosting a larger pavilion with even more RPA members participating,” said Jerry Welcome, RPA’s President.

The RPA also is planning its second Choose Reusable Conference for the 2011 PACK EXPO show. The program will feature keynote speakers, end user panels, and workshops designed to help beginners as well as seasoned veterans of reusable transport packaging learn more about available solutions and the companies that provide them.

This will be the second time the RPA has participated in the Las Vegas show. In 2009, they hosted their first-ever Choose Reusables Conference at the show with more than 100 participants. In 2010, the RPA hosted its first Pavilion with 13 member companies exhibiting. That number is expected to increase this year as more members take full advantage of the Pavilion’s ideal location and added promotional activities designed to boost traffic to member’s booth. In addition, the RPA is offering a special discounted rate for association members who want to exhibit in the Pavilion.

The 2010 Pavilion in Chicago drew a lot of interest on the part of show attendees. “Many attendees visited the RPA booth at the show to learn more about reusable packaging and how it might fit into their own sustainability business plans,” added Welcome. “They were very interested to learn about the breadth of products and services our members offered. Having so many suppliers exhibiting together made it easy for them to find the solutions they were looking for within one location.”

The Reusable Packaging Pavilion will be located on the first floor of the South Building at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees will find manufacturers of reusable packaging products, providers of reusable services such as poolers and technology providers as well as information about the reusable industry. Exhibitors in the Pavilion are limited to RPA members only. If you would like to exhibit or find out more about membership in the RPA, contact Jerry Welcome at (703) 244-8284 or by e-mail jwelcome@reusables.org.
