Green Bin2 Meets Demand for Wet Organics Bin for Waste Collection

Oconomowoc, Wis. June 26, 2013 – ORBIS Corporation, a North American manufacturer of plastic bins and carts for the collection of recyclables and waste, has introduced the Green Bin2 in response to rising demand for a smaller, more appropriately sized container to collect source separated organics in residential and commercial applications.

The 12-gallon cart is designed for easy storage and collection of food scraps to help municipalities encourage more community residents to divert food waste from landfills.

The Green Bin2’s 360-degree double rim closure and secure front latch not only eliminates spills and traps odors, but combined with the lid lock, it is designed to minimize animal entry. The Green Bin2 is made from durable, BPA-free and recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE)and is fully recyclable.

Additional benefits include:

  • Optional telescopic handle
  • Optional reflectors available
  • Side holds to keep organic collection bags in place
  • Recessed casters for easy transport to and from the curb
  • Optional hot stamping available for effective branding

ORBIS works closely with communities and municipalities to implement successful composting and diversion programs that reduce curbside collections, allowing municipalities to focus on the other projects and community initiatives. ORBIS experts and easy-to-use products, like the Green Bin2, help residents learn to efficiently divert food and yard waste from landfills.
