Arlington, VA, May 13, 2014 – CHEP, IFCO Systems, and Rehrig Pacific Company are headline sponsors of valuable activities at PACK EXPO for attendees to learn more about reusables.

CHEP and IFCO SYSTEMS are providing primary funding for the Reusable Packaging Association’s Reusables Learning Center, an educational forum located directly on the show floor at PACK EXPO in Chicago (Booth 6866). The learning center will be located within the popular RPA Reusable Packaging Pavilion in the Lakeside Center of McCormick Place at PACK EXPO. Attendance at presentations in the center in 2013, the first year for the forum, was very strong, demonstrating the demand for educational sessions about reusables. Presenters included end-users who gave firsthand accounts about their experiences with reusables as well as RPA member companies who presented research and information on trends in the industry. Supporting sponsors of the RPA’s efforts at PACK EXPO include reLogistics Services LLC, SSI Schaefer, Coroplast, and APR Allen Plastics Repair.

Rehrig Pacific Company is the third headline sponsor, funding the RPA’s Annual Networking Reception that gives attendees and members an opportunity to network with each other in a relaxed setting.

“Sharing best practices, educating users about the challenges and benefits of reusable solutions, and providing industry networking opportunities are core value propositions of the RPA,” said Jerry Welcome, RPA President. “We really value the support of CHEP, IFCO, and Rehrig Pacific. Their contributions make it possible for us to bring more educational and networking opportunities to attendees who are interested in learning more about reusables.”

Another valued supporter of the RPA is International Contract Molding, LLC, (ICM) an Otto Company, which is sponsoring the RPA’s third annual ICM logoExcellence in Reusable Packaging Award. The award recognizes companies that have developed, supported, or implemented measurable and innovative reusable solutions in a business-to-business supply chain.

“All of the sponsoring companies gain increased visibility and exposure at PACK EXPO and throughout the year,” said Sean Handerhan, RPA Business Development Director. “The sponsorships are an excellent way for members to support the RPA as well as market their company and products.”

About the RPA at PACK EXPO

PACK_EXPOThe RPA stages three important educational platforms annually at PACK EXPO.  They are the Reusable Packaging Pavilion, the Reusables Learning Center, and the RPA Networking Reception. The Reusable Packaging Pavilion is a popular one-stop resource for companies interested in implementing reusables into their supply chain, or strengthening the return on their existing reusable assets. This year, the Pavilion brings together 37 exhibitors including manufacturers, material suppliers, providers of washing and other specialty equipment, and poolers and service providers of reusable packaging systems and solutions, all exhibiting within one highly visible and convenient location. The Reusables Learning Center is located within the Pavilion. A series of informative sessions about reusables are presented in the center, directly on the show floor. The RPA Reusable Packaging Pavilion and Reusables Learning Center will be in the Lakeside Center of McCormick Place at PACK EXPO in Chicago 2014. The RPA Networking Reception is an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and network with suppliers and RPA members.
